Operation Christmas Child shoebox appeal - please make all donations by Sun 12 Nov

If you would like to help bring the joy of Christmas and give children across the world the opportunity to learn about the gospel of Jesus Christ, you could donate to the Shoebox appeal. You can do this by:

1. Donating a shoebox full of gifts (Pre-printed shoeboxes and leaflets about suitable gifts are available from the church porch - more will be available soon).

2. Donating a gift item or items to put into a shoebox (a box for your donated items is available in the church porch).

3. Donate a shoebox online (go to https://shoeboxonline.samaritans-purse.org.uk/) where you can either pack your own shoebox with customised gifts or purchase and send a pre-packed shoebox.

4. Donate money towards the cost of items or the transport of boxes from our church (a donation of £5 for the transport of each box is requested but some people cannot afford this, so all donations of any amount are very welcome).

5. You can volunteer to help in the Rotherham processing centre too …for more information, contact Louise Brereton.

to find out more about the  Operation Christmas Child campaign. The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to show God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Every child who receives a shoebox has the opportunity to complete ‘The Greatest Journey’ Bible course which brings children to Jesus, faith and discipleship and equips them to take the Gospel to others.

Please contact Louise Brereton 07815 581237 if you require further information.

Thank you for supporting this joyous initiative.

Help is still needed for some important tasks within our church community.

eg sorting money received each week, claiming Gift Aid and helping our treasurer.

It also be helpful if 2 or 3 people could take charge of White Elephants and run this stall at church Car Boot sales.

Please speak to churchwardens if you could help.

Government advice will be followed in relation to social distancing and the use of face masks. There will also be a limit to the number of people allowed into the building. We will have to adapt to any changes in advice and regulations as they develop over time.
